What are AI Influencers?

A quick look at how virtual influencers are being used in modern content and marketing.

AI influencers are starting to appear everywhere online. But how realistic can they actually be, and what does this mean for brands and creators?

I recently experimented with a new platform called Weavy AI to see how far the technology has come. Using a few simple prompts such as age, gender, appearance and personality, I generated several AI influencers and placed them into short product review videos.

The result was a concept ad featuring multiple virtual influencers each showcasing a different product. From fashion accessories to skincare and travel gear, the process showed how quickly AI can be used to prototype marketing ideas without the need for cameras, studios or traditional production setups.

While the technology is still evolving, the possibilities for content creation and digital marketing are becoming hard to ignore. Brands can test campaigns faster, creators can explore new storytelling formats, and small businesses can produce content that previously required large production budgets.

This project was created as a simple experiment to see how AI generated influencers might fit into modern marketing strategies. It raises an interesting question. Are AI influencers simply a novelty, or could they become a practical tool for brands looking to scale content quickly?
